I have always loved to sew.  I have always loved purses!  It makes perfect sense that I now have a little company that makes adorable handbags.

In 2004 we made pine wreaths with vintage buttons tied all over them, and sold quite a few, but after Christmas there were still lots of buttons left over.  One Saturday afternoon I sat at my kitchen counter, wondering just what could I do with all of those buttons.  Soon I had created the vintage button brooch, covered in hand-sewn buttons.  The original shape was a heart, followed by a daisy, a Christmas tree and wreath.  I must say they were precious brooches.  While I loved making these treasures, I knew I really wanted to design handbags.  Once again - on a Saturday afternoon - I was back at the kitchen counter drawing & cutting, until I had the first pattern for an original handbag---LFW Designs was born! 

Since that time I have added a few new styles, and a few more options on the handbags.  My love of color and fabric keeps me from tiring of the many hours at the sewing machines.

I thank God for my family---they help and support me everyday!  My husband, 2 sons, 3 daughters, parents,  brother,  sister-in-law and even my niece have all done time in the sewing studio!  They make all of this possible---and I am so grateful!

Now it is summer of 2007 and my business has grown so that I now have my daughter, Shelby, helping me full time with all of the handbags.  She is a college student at UNF working on her major in Graphic Design.  It thrills me to have her working with me...
